Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (or BJJ) is derived from traditional Jujitsu, which is practiced with a Gi (also called kimono). A Gi is a Japanese term that can be translated as "training clothing". This outfit is mainly used in martial arts from Japan (budō).
A BJJ Gi is made up of a cotton jacket and trousers and a belt. It allows to keep the jacket closed and to know the rank of the fighter. The Gi used in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu has the particularity of being tight at the sleeves and reinforced at the level of the pants so that it is more difficult to grasp than the judo kimono (judogi), for example.
The sizes of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Gis differ by gender. They are classified from A0 (the smallest) to A5 (or A6 according to brands) for men and F1 to F5 (the largest) for women. You will find below summary tables of the sizes to choose according to your gender, your weight and your size:

As a reminder, these are the only three colors allowed in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitions.
